So, stupid student quotes. Sometimes, they just utterly, utterly slay me.

Today for example. Told the kids that we were going to take a look at ionic and covalent bonding, and the difference between the two.

One girl, bless her pointy little head, raised her hand and said she knew all about it already. Of course I had to ask where she’d learned it from, and she proceeded to tell me all about how Dr. Phil talked about family bonding, and how really, all kinds of bonding was the same.

Dr. Phil. Ionic bonding.

Take a moment with that one, as an old prof used to say. And then, feel free to laugh yourself silly. I sure as hell did the first chance I got after escaping the classroom and barricading myself in the nearest staff washroom. I’m sure some other teachers thought I’d inhaled some nitrous oxide or something. Not that Ibiki would actually let me keep any of that stuff on school grounds, the stingy bastard concerned, caring guy he is.

Izumo also apparently had a good one today. He had a test on some basic biology stuff, like the TCA cycle. The one that processes energy in the body. Anyway, one kid wrote down the "THC cycle" and proceeded to discuss how the "THC cycle" stopped reversed the energy cycle, and that was why you felt lazy and hungry after doing pot. *snigger* Right, but at the same time, oh, so wrong.

I'm glad my subject requires little to no effort ^^
